All Participating Members agree to the following:
All new participants will be juried for acceptance to the Studio Tour.
All work submitted for jurying and displayed on the Tour must be original work by the member.
No “kits” are allowed for sale.
The studio or exhibition space must be your own residence or working studio unless you are a guest artist.
Members (Studio & Guest Artists) agree to be in attendance and have their studios open for the two weekends of the Tour: September 25-26 & October 2-3, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Each Member is expected to provide his or her own liability or other necessary insurance. The Studio Tour does not provide any liability or other insurance coverage.
Artwork must be properly and tastefully displayed. Thought and planning must be given to ensure having enough product to last until the end of the Tour.
For consistency, only signs provided or permitted by the Studio Tour may be used for roadside directions. Signs will be provided by the Studio Tour.
The Studio Tour will typically hold three yearly meetings which all members are required to attend.
All members are required to help with the promotion of the Studio Tour, which includes distributing brochures and other advertising materials. Artists are also required to submit information about their art/studio to be used on Studio Tour social media.
All members are expected to assist the various committee leaders, to ensure that the duties are distributed evenly among the members.
Members who participate on various committees shall volunteer their time. Expenses pre-approved by the executive will be reimbursed.
No member may speak on behalf of the Studio Tour to any media source, or enter into any contract with any other person, organization or institution, advertising contracts or “partnering” contracts, etc. on behalf of the Studio Tour, without permission of the current executive. Any members behaving contrary to this shall lose their membership, shall not have their year’s fees refunded and shall be wholly responsible for any expenses that they may have incurred.
Note: Accepted members must notify the Executive in the event that they need to withdraw from the Studio Tour.
There will be no refund of membership fees after the production of the Studio Tour brochure/map.
