Facebook Post Form

It’s that time again, and we need you to send us one if not two short posts for Facebook to encourage people to visit your location.  They only need to be a couple of sentences, in fact if it is too long, no one will read it. (TL;DR)  One or two images for each post please. And don’t send images embedded into Word documents, please just upload them separately.  We give a few ideas below of topics to write about, but different images of work you are going to have for the show that aren’t already on the website are best.  Even if it is a work in progress, people do like to see that.

Ideas for topics:
  • What new things are you making for this year's show? Picture of it in progress.
  • What started you down the path to your particular art form.
  • How do you set up for a show? (image of set up perhaps)
  • What is your favourite tool that you use.
  • demonstration of a project or commission. (how it comes together)
  • Celebrating small wins with your art.
  • Share some guilty pleasures. (what you love most about the art you make)
  • What was the most valuable thing you learned in art school? How has it helped you (if you went)
  • Who is your mentor and what did they teach you?
  • Why do you create art?
  • What is your favourite piece you’ve created?
  • Why do you work in the medium that you do?
  • Where do you create your art?  In the spare room, a studio, the garage.  People are fascinated by the spaces artists work in.  Include a picture of your space, with or without you in it (if you are shy).
