Rapley Fields Art Studio: Originals by Kelly Whyte, established in 2020.

This small, countryside studio is where Kelly creates bright, bold oil paintings that depict the local landscape of the Kawartha Lakes and surrounding area. Colourful paintings, will bring fond memories of places you have visited or spots yet to be discovered. This enthusiastic artist can’t wait to show you her latest creations.

Inspired by the Group of Seven, or more specifically, Tom Thomson, Kelly strives to depict the iconic landscapes of this lake enriched area known as ‘cottage country’ Kelly has participated in the Victoria County Studio Tour for 5 years and continues to enjoy the incredible interaction with her community and people visiting the beautiful area known as the Kawartha Lakes.

‘Autumn Tranquility’ Oil/Cold Wax on Gallery Canvas, 24”x 24” is a new style for Kelly that emphasizes bold colours of the fall season. This artist spends hours hiking, biking and canoeing to capture these scenes and put them down on canvas. You can find Kelly painting en plein air during the warmer months, beside a babbling creek or among the conifers that dominate the forests of the Kawartha Lakes.
