Carol Nichol StudioArtist Information

I had a dream and it has come to fruition.  The original stone building on our property has become an expression of my dream, a studio in the wilderness.  The studio is sheltered on land, surrounded by beaver ponds on three sides, a wonderful location for nurturing the soul and providing earth for creativity.

In the process of preparing this building as my workplace, I have been tangibly aware that it has sprung up from the rock gathered from the Canadian Shield on which it sits.  The long-lasting hemlock of the nearby wetlands show their  beauty in its interior.

It is a privilege to be here as an artist, to paint in watercolours and to sculpt.  It was rather uncanny that I, Carol Nichol, would find my dream location opposite Nichol Cove Road, hence, Nichol’s Cove Studio.

The studio has been on the tour for fourteen years.
