Artist Statement

Living in the rugged beauty of the Trent Lakes region, at the edge of the Shield, provides endless inspiration for Janet. Although working primarily with clay, Janet also expresses her creative spirit through stone carving and glass mosaics.

As a ceramic artist, Janet works principally with stoneware, creating pieces that are both functional and decorative. Natural elements, such as beautiful stone, feathers and pieces of dried trees are incorporated into her thrown, altered, and handbuilt pieces.
