Biography
Daisy Arts Studio was established in 1997 in Orangeville Ontario. We had a wonderful time there, was able to teach many students in my home studio and after retiring from the Dufferin Peel Separate School Board, was able to participate in the Dufferin Arts program taking art into the schools. My art was on display at the Orangeville Art Gallery and the Orangeville Hospital
My immediate inspiration originally came from nature, and specifically Birch Trees. They are majestic, mystic and give the artist complexities in light and depth. I have painted them on canvas, board and stone and continue to work them into my art. Inspiration has also come from ongoing art education and from artists throughout Canada that I have studied with and followed.
This will be my fifth year on the Victoria County Studio Tour and we look forward to each time the tour happens. Each year we have from 200 to 300 folks go through our home to see my work and my teaching studio and gallery. Several of the visitors are repeat coming from all across Canada and have even had some from outside Canada.
