Artist Statement

One good thing about the past year is time itself. Time to experiment and push the boundaries with my woodturning, striving to refine my pieces even more, working with dyed epoxy’s on pieces of wood that previously were only good for the woodstove.

Also with the wildlife photography experimenting with what I call the “Painterly Effect” which make the images look almost three dimensional and so vivid that the creatures look like they could jump off the paper.

This time has allowed ideas to spark new ideas which create other ideas and on it goes and it’s incredibly exciting as things unfold.
