Artist Statement

I started taking pottery classes eight years ago after retiring from my job as a teacher and administrator. Pottery has been a creative outlet as well as providing many opportunities for continuous learning. I enjoy hand-building and throwing; both methods of working with clay are harder than they look but the possibilities are endless. It is so inspiring to take something that is beautiful out of the kiln knowing that you created it!
